Pitch




We chose irish names because they're unusual and mysterious and we didn't know anyone with those names so we wouldn't have been influenced by anyone else.

  1. You have a clear narrative for your film - a word of advice: Learn from your Preliminary exercise by making sure you don't have too much content for your allotted 2 minutes of an opening scene.

    Also remember that you need to plan an interesting title sequence that follows the conventions of real films. Look back to your original research here and perhaps look at analysing the opening titles of Eden Lake and Blair Witch Project - screen shot sections, analyse and embed the video to comment on sound with timecode references (e.g. at 1m23s there is a sting...).

    Widen your research into 'found footage films' as a genre that are not necessarily a thriller (e.g. Cloverfield) for ideas and inspiration for style, opening and camerawork.
